INFRASTRUCTURE
CLASSROOM
Our classroom environments are a key part of every student's school life. Helping to shape our young minds to think outside the box and grow, all while producing a conducive atmosphere enabling the teacher to provide relevant content, clear learning goals and feedback opportunities which would help them to build social skills and strategies.
By helping to create this positive environment, the teachers of Dhruva help each of their students to feel comfortable to express themselves and view their opinions. As they say there are no wrong answers, only wrong questions.
From the start of the day when each of our students enter into their respective classrooms going through every transaction using our specialized process of student led enquiry based teaching learning process, they are exposed to the curriculum in a manner which makes each subject a discovery and exploration in itself.
AUDITORIUM
An important feature of our school's facilities is the auditorium. This grand hall has been the centre stage for a number of our students who have their first introduction to performing arts, both as audiences and as performers. The act of performing helps the students to recognize their potential for success and improve their confidence
It is used for all types of formal assembly: lectures, award ceremonies, dramatic plays, musical and dance competitions and so on. These varied events place a range of demands on the hall.
These functions groom students to be good speakers and enable them to confidently participate on any forum of their choice.
IT LAB
In this technological period, the computer laboratory at Dhruva Public School, provide an appropriate platform to the students to be proficient in handling technology. The computer laboratory is used not just to hone the skills of computer geeks, but also provide an exposure to the novices.
LANGUAGE LAB
The quality of the language proficiency will be more when students learn it from the multimedia, digital and computerised language lab. The digital lab motivates student's learning attitude, providing an interactive learning environment.
AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM
The audio-visual hall is fitted with equipment that allows students to watch films, make presentations, and use technology for interaction.
MUSIC ROOM
The school offers both traditional and contemporary music forms. Children are given an opportunity to explore and learn all kinds of musical instruments ranging from Piano to Harmonium.
MONTESSORI LAB
Based on the pedagogy given by Dr. Maria Montessori,our Montessori lab provides space to focus on the individual children and their needs.
POWER AND GENERATORS SET UP
The school has un-interrupted power supply be it with UPSs or Generators. It has a generator back up for taking care of all-important aspects of the school making sure that our students may feel comfortable in class, while no programmes or events are ever disturbed.
SECURITY AND SAFETY (CCTV)
The safety of our children is of prime importance for the school. The entry and exit has a controlled access and only authorized persons can gain entry for any specific purposes. Besides this to augment our security systems, all critical areas are covered by the CCTVs which are monitored regularly thereby ensuring that the security of children and infrastructure is covered round the clock. The CCTVs can be monitored on cloud from any location, thus taking care that the campus is constantly under supervision.
TOILETS
There are more than the required number of toilets on each floor and they are maintained to a high standard. Boys and Girls have separate toilets. The School believes that healthy children in a hygienic environment produce high learning output. Thus, the School focusses on providing a healthy learning environment by:
- Provision of facilities needed for sanitation, such as clean lavatories, toilets, hand-washing
- Provision of Personal and Environmental Hygiene Education in the curriculum to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge for effective hygiene
- Programming personal and environmental hygiene awareness camps
STAFF ROOM
“The most valuable resource that all teachers have is each other. Without collaboration our growth is limited to our own perspectives” so the Staff rooms are needed to build up a friendly, professional and efficient service. Our prestige staff rooms are perfect to create such environment.
WATER CHILLERS COOLER
Every child and staff member has access to cool purified water which is very much appreciated, especially during summer. There is a water cooler on each floor.
ARTS & CRAFTS ROOM
The school has a dedicated room for the students to create and display their works of art and craft. The peace of the semi-circular room is enhanced by the views out over lush paddy fields. The birds that visit the overhanging trees bring inspiration and wonder into the minds of our young artists.
